Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies are used on the Ermera website and platform, and how you can manage them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites save to your device when you visit them. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, or session state) so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit.
Cookies can be strictly necessary (essential for the site to work), functional (preferences), analytical (traffic statistics), or advertising. They can also be first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by an external service).
2. Cookies we use on this site
Ermera uses only the minimum number of cookies needed to make the site work. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Keeps the user session active: CSRF protection, flash messages, chosen language, and the anonymous analytics session identifier. | Strictly necessary (first-party) | Session (deleted when you close the browser) |
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the site to work, under Portuguese and European law (GDPR and Decree-Law 7/2004) it does not require prior consent.
Analytics and metrics
We collect aggregated traffic statistics (page views, scroll depth, session duration, CTA clicks) to improve the site. This tracking runs exclusively on our own servers and uses the same session cookie mentioned above — it does not create additional cookies and does not share data with third parties.
We respect the browser's "Do Not Track" signal: if you enable it, no analytics events will be recorded.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or social media scripts on this site. Therefore, no third-party cookies are installed by Ermera when you browse ermera.pt or ermera.eu.
When you are logged in to the Ermera platform and interact with payment processors (Stripe, SIBS, IfThenPay) or invoicing software (Moloni, InvoiceXpress, Cegid), those entities may set their own cookies within their own flows. Those cookies are governed by the respective providers' cookie policies.
4. How to manage or disable cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time directly in your browser settings. Keep in mind that disabling the strictly necessary cookie will prevent parts of the site from working correctly — for example, form submission, language selection, or flash messages.

5. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated whenever we change the cookies we use. Significant changes will be communicated on the site. For questions, contact us at hello@ermera.pt.
